At the glowing heart of our festival are our community lantern-making workshops, a fun way to explore your creativity in a supportive environment. We'll provide all the materials and instruction you'll need to make your very own paper and bamboo lantern. We recommend about 3 hours to make a lantern, and children will require assistance. There is no need to register - just show up! This year we’re excited to also be offering a costuming workshop to get you festival-ready!
All of our 2019 public workshops are FREE thanks to a grant from The Jack and Ruby Lockyer Ward Fund and support from our partners: the Baxter Arts Centre and the Ameliasburgh, Athol, Picton and Wellington Recreation Committees. However, donations are gratefully accepted at all of our workshops.
